Meet Melissa
I am a Licensed Psychotherapist providing Mental Health Therapy in California and Mental Health Consultation internationally. I come from a "boxing family" where my dad trained amateur and professional fighters until his passing in October of 2024.Ā When my brother and I were younger, my dad started traveling and being away a lot so my mom worked towards making it a family business (her as the manager leading many young fighters to world rankings) to help keep us together. Now, I get to work with supporting families who struggle with similar situations. I understand the lifestyle and demands of careers that pull you away from family and the unique expectations. I am a mother to teens and young adults, juggling parenthood and work. I know, the struggle is real! I believe one of the best gifts we can give our family, is taking care of our mental, emotional and physical health.
ā
I have been working in the mental health field since 2004, with the start of my career as a counselor in Level 14 group homes. I became a clinical therapist in 2015 and since have worked across settings including community mental health clinics, schools and private practice. I genuinely love what I do and honor the sacred places clients take me into.
